Our Mission

At The Lord Died For Our Chins, we strive to spread the love and teachings of all that is chin.

Religion Name: Mentanism
(From the Latin "mentum," meaning chin)

Core Beliefs:

Mentanism is a sacred spiritual tradition rooted in the divine symbolism of the human chin, believed to be the seat of strength, wisdom, and identity. Followers, known as Mentari, view the chin not merely as a physical feature, but as a divine beacon of purpose and resilience. It is said the Great Progenitor, "Mentorax the Pointed," sculpted the world with a single nod of His mighty chin.

Founding Myth:

According to scripture, before time began, the universe was formless. Then, Mentorax emerged from the eternal void, his chin casting light across the chaos. Each motion of his chin formed mountains, valleys, and rivers. From the cleft of his own chin he carved the first humans—each born with a chin to remind them of their origin and divine spark.

Practices & Rituals:

  • Chintentions: Daily meditative chin-tilting where worshippers slowly raise and lower their chins in reverence while chanting, “Strength in Structure, Grace in Form.”

  • The Chinfast: A monthly ritual where Mentari wear elaborate chin covers and abstain from speaking to reflect on the weight their own chin carries in the world.

  • Pilgrimage to Cleftspire: A holy journey to the sacred mountain whose twin peaks resemble a double chin, where believers gather to hum in harmonic chin vibrations.

Sacred Text:

The Mandible Manuscripts—etched into obsidian tablets—contain the wisdom of Mentorax and parables like “The Beardless Prophet” and “The Trial of the Crooked Jaw.”

Symbols:

  • The Infinite Cleft: A symbol resembling an hourglass-shaped dimple, representing balance between the spiritual and physical.

  • The Golden Jawline: A revered icon placed at altars to inspire symmetry and humility.

Sects:

  • Orthochinians: Believe in the pursuit of the perfect chin angle as a path to enlightenment.

  • Dubblechins: Embrace abundance and believe layered chins are a sign of divine favor.

  • The Shaven Path: Renounce facial hair entirely to exalt the raw purity of the chin.
